How to access antenatal care
Once your pregnancy is confirmed, it’s important to see your doctor or a midwife as soon as possible.
They will help you to plan the appointments you will need during pregnancy. Appointments during your pregnancy are called your antenatal appointments or antenatal care.
If you can't access your GP there are other options available.

Choosing where to give birth
When it comes to having a baby there are different care options to choose from. Each option offers different care providers, locations, environments and experiences.
Giving birth in hospital is most common in Queensland, but some women choose to give birth at home, in a birth centre or have a free birth.
